Were they all equally eﬀecve at controlling bacterial growth? How do you know? The anbioc drugs used were Penicillin, Amoxicillin, and Erythromycin. They were all eﬀecve on the bacteria growth the Penicillin and Amoxicillin work the best at controlling the Hemophilus inﬂuenzae and Streptococcus pneumoniae, and the Erythromycin work the best at controlling the Staphylococcus aureus. 1. Describe the eﬀects of the various chemical disinfectants you used. Were they all equally eﬀecve at controlling bacterial growth? Would you use them to halt bacterial growth in your home or on your body? The diﬀerent chemical disinfectant were all in the same range when it came to controlling the bacterial growth. I would use them to control bacterial growth in my home . 2. Compare the eﬀecveness of the various anbacterial drugs and chemical disinfectants. Which seem to be beer at controlling bacterial growth? Why do you think this is so? I believe that the anbacterial drugs worked beer when it came to ﬁghng the bacterial growth. When the bacterial growth is fought of with anbacterial drugs it is using medicine that is engineered to ﬁght more that just the common house hold germs and be more powerful when used on certain bacteria. 3. If you were a doctor treang a paent infected with Staphylococcus aureus, a bacterium that causes mild to moderate skin infecons, which anbioc would you prescribe and why? a. I would prescribe Erythromycin because it has the highest zone of inhibion, which means its doing a beer job at controlling the bacteria/ infecon. 4. Can you think of any limitaons of this technique of tesng the eﬀecveness of anmicrobial agents? If a real person were involved, what other tests might give you more conﬁdence in your results? All bacteria do not need oxygen to grow aerobic and they require oxygen to grow and reproduce and if the bacteria is anaerobic then they don’t need oxygen to grow. 1. Make a hypothesis about which color in the visible spectrum causes the most plant growth, and which color in the visible spectrum causes the least plant growth. I think the red will have more plant growth and I think the least one will be the green. The variables the I controlled were the plants and what I changed each me were the colors. 4. Analyze the results of your experiment. Did your data support your hypothesis? Explain. Yes my data supported my hypothesis because everything I predicted was right. 5. If you conducted tests with more than one type of seed, explain any diﬀerences or similaries you found among types of seeds. Each seed grew diﬀerent with the diﬀerent type of light you have. 6. What conclusions can you draw about which color in the visible spectrum causes the most plant growth? The red color caused more growth. 7. Given that white light contains all colors of the spectrum, what growth results would you expect under white light? I think that white light would make it grow less from what I saw.

When does interphase occur- The replicaon has to occur in interphase so the cell will be ready to divide in mitosis. A locus refers to the speciﬁc locaon of a gene on a chromosome. Know what homologous chromosomes are- A couple of homologous chromosomes, or homologs, are a set of one maternal and one paternal chromosomes that pair up with each other inside a cell during meiosis What is a carrier and are they typically homozygous or heterozygous - A carrier would have to be heterozygous Pleiotropy ? Pleiotropy occurs when one gene inﬂuences two or more seemingly unrelated phenotypic traits. Polygenic inheritance or trait Homozygous dominant - used in genecs to describe the genotype of an organism. Heterozygous - an individual having two diﬀerent alleles of a parcular gene or genes, and so giving rise to varying oﬀspring. Homozygous recessive - Homozygous Recessive refers to genecs. When both alleles are idencal, they are said to be Homozygous, and if both are recessive, then they are Homozygous Recessive.
